Messages and Reminders:

- Spring photo proofs will be sent home tomorrow. Orders can be made online or returned to the school by Wednesday, June 23.

- Grade six farewell is on Thursday. See below for a message regarding the format. This message will also be sent on school messenger to grade six families by the office.

- Basic Facts quiz on Friday.

A message about grade six farewell:

Dear Parents, Families, and Friends of BHS,

We hope this message finds you well. The grade six farewell will be this Thursday from 1:00 to 2:30pm, held online. Unfortunately, due to Covid regulations and privacy restraints placed on quite of a few students this year, parents will not be able to attend the ceremony, as we cannot celebrate in person and the link cannot be shared outside of the school. If we had parents attend online, that would exclude many students from celebrating their own graduation, as anyone without consent forms would be unable to participate. We apologize for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause.

As a grade team, we will upload our PowerPoint, awards, and teacher speeches for your viewing pleasure on our Google Classrooms, as this is a secure CBE approved platform. Students will be able to log in from home to share these parts of the ceremony with you. 

We hope everyone has a safe and healthy summer.

Grade 6 Farewell and Thank You Miss G's Speech! Well room 17, it’s been a wild ride to say the least. I know we’ve only been together since January, but we did it. To the grade sixes, who always kept me on my toes, this day is for you. I cannot believe how far you have all come in the last six months, yet it’s time for you to move on to junior high.  I truly appreciate each and every one of you and am amazed at how much I have learned from you all. Between keeping me up to date with video games, the latest meme, or the newest youtube sensation, I am not sure what I will do without you next year. Thursday, May 27th, 2021 Messages and Reminders: - Tomorrow is twin day and our virtual Pillar of Care assembly. - Spring picture day is on Monday. Spring Picture Day is coming Monday, May 31. Lifetouch donates $2 to the school for every photo taken on this day. After Picture Day, you may choose to order pictures on mylifetouch.ca using your Portrait ID and Access Code which can be found on your Picture Day order form (this will come home about a week after picture day). - Please sign the Human Sexuality waiver and send back to school before Monday. We will be starting the unit then. - Tomorrow is our last day to work on our news articles. If they are not completed students will need to complete them at home over the weekend. Tuesday, May 25th, 2021 Messages and Reminders: - Please hand in the human sexuality forms by Friday - we will be starting the unit on Monday. New forms will be sent home tomorrow for students that need them. If you already returned/emailed me with permission you do not need to do it again. - Ancient Athens test on Thursday for those students who missed it before we went online. The re-test for students wishing to take it again will also be on Thursday. - Ancient Athens brochures are due by Friday for those who missed before the break. - News Article good copy due by Friday. - Pillars of Care virtual assembly is Friday morning.
