Pillars of Care March Winners

Pillars of Care This month we voted as a class and gave reasons why we thought our classmates deserved each award. Here are our winners.. Care for Others: Mary-Anne has shows Care for Others by always asking classmates if they are okay and asking people to join her at recess. Kaleb has shown his Care for Others by helping classmates out and being a good friend. Teya shows Care for Others by always helping others when they are upset and looking after others. She always invites everyone to play. Care for Learning: Teagan has shown Care for Learning by always raising his hand to respond and ask questions. He is almost always on task and paying attention. Teagan also knows a lot about math and science and is always looking up cool facts. Care for Place: Max has shown Care for Place by always cleaning up after himself and others. Friday, March 26, 2021 Messages and Reminders: - School resumes Tuesday, April 6, 2021 - SJAM student orientation - April 29th, 10-11am (there will be a parent orientation that same day in the evening from 5-6pm - it will be hosted through Microsoft teams, you are encouraged to download the app, but are able to access it through any internet browser as well.  Daily Recap: We started our day off with our Pillars of Care Assembly (congrats to all those winners this month). After, we finished our stories up (those of you who did not, please work on your stories over the break) and then had some free time to practice on the ukulele that we will be continuing after the break with Mr. Wiens. We finished the day off with our Appreciation circle and our documentary about Ancient Athens.  Important Dates: March 27 - April 5 - No school (spring break) Tuesday, April 6 - Back to school

 Wednesday, March 24, 2021 - Order of Operations quiz on Thursday - includes equations and word problems - Narrative Stories are due Friday. We will be editing and revising our stories throughout the week. If students are not done writing their stories, they are encouraged to add detail to them at home. They can access them through their google classroom/drive. - This is the last week for Reading.. Give it a Shot. Friday is the last day to bring in reading logs to add to the total. - Friday is Crazy Hair Day  - Virtual Pillars of Care Assembly on Friday - Last day of classes before spring break is Friday, March 26.  Friday, March 19, 2021 Messages & Reminders: - Students are encouraged to work on their Narrative Stories at home this weekend. We will be trying to finish them up before spring break.  - We are still tracking for Reading.. Give it a Shot program. Next week will be the last week. Please bring in your reading log by next Friday at the latest to count towards the totals. - The last day of classes before spring break is Friday, March 26. School resumes on Tuesday, April 6.  - Next Friday we will be having a virtual assembly for the recognition around our Pillars of Care.
