Messages and Reminders:

- Students will be attending their virtual SJAM orientation tomorrow morning. The virtual orientation for families will take place sometime next month.
- Friday is our next spirit day. It is "students dress like a teacher, teachers dress like a student day." Students are invited to dress like any teacher, EA, admin, lunch supervisor, caretakers, or any adult in the building. 
- Virtual Pillars of Care assembly will be on Friday morning. Our classroom winners will be announced tomorrow and recognition will be given on Friday during the assembly.
- A notice will be going home tomorrow about spring picture day. It will be on Monday, May 10.

Thursday, April 29 - SJAM virtual orientation (in class for students)
Friday, April 30 - Spirit Day - students dress as teachers, teachers dress as students

Grade 6 Farewell and Thank You Miss G's Speech! Well room 17, it’s been a wild ride to say the least. I know we’ve only been together since January, but we did it. To the grade sixes, who always kept me on my toes, this day is for you. I cannot believe how far you have all come in the last six months, yet it’s time for you to move on to junior high.  I truly appreciate each and every one of you and am amazed at how much I have learned from you all. Between keeping me up to date with video games, the latest meme, or the newest youtube sensation, I am not sure what I will do without you next year. In all seriousness, you have all taught me so much and I am grateful for the time I did have with you here at BHS. I am the most proud of you! Thursday, May 27th, 2021 Messages and Reminders: - Tomorrow is twin day and our virtual Pillar of Care assembly. - Spring picture day is on Monday. Spring Picture Day is coming Monday, May 31. Lifetouch donates $2 to the school for every photo taken on this day. After Picture Day, you may choose to order pictures on mylifetouch.ca using your Portrait ID and Access Code which can be found on your Picture Day order form (this will come home about a week after picture day). - Please sign the Human Sexuality waiver and send back to school before Monday. We will be starting the unit then. - Tomorrow is our last day to work on our news articles. If they are not completed students will need to complete them at home over the weekend. Tuesday, May 25th, 2021 Messages and Reminders: - Please hand in the human sexuality forms by Friday - we will be starting the unit on Monday. New forms will be sent home tomorrow for students that need them. If you already returned/emailed me with permission you do not need to do it again. - Ancient Athens test on Thursday for those students who missed it before we went online. The re-test for students wishing to take it again will also be on Thursday. - Ancient Athens brochures are due by Friday for those who missed before the break. - News Article good copy due by Friday. - Pillars of Care virtual assembly is Friday morning.
