Messages & Reminders:

- Students are encouraged to work on their Narrative Stories at home this weekend. We will be trying to finish them up before spring break. 

- We are still tracking for Reading.. Give it a Shot program. Next week will be the last week. Please bring in your reading log by next Friday at the latest to count towards the totals.

- The last day of classes before spring break is Friday, March 26. School resumes on Tuesday, April 6. 

- Next Friday we will be having a virtual assembly for the recognition around our Pillars of Care.

Weekly Recap:

This week in LA we worked on our story writing and will hopefully finish them by Friday. In Social, we continued our work on Ancient Athens. Science we have continued to learn about Air and Aerodynamics, we will be focusing more on Flight next week. Finally, in math we have started working on Order of Operations.

Important Dates:

March 27 - April 5 - no school (spring break)
Tuesday April 6 - back to school

Grade 6 Farewell and Thank You Miss G's Speech! Well room 17, it’s been a wild ride to say the least. I know we’ve only been together since January, but we did it. To the grade sixes, who always kept me on my toes, this day is for you. I cannot believe how far you have all come in the last six months, yet it’s time for you to move on to junior high.  I truly appreciate each and every one of you and am amazed at how much I have learned from you all. Between keeping me up to date with video games, the latest meme, or the newest youtube sensation, I am not sure what I will do without you next year. Thursday, May 27th, 2021 Messages and Reminders: - Tomorrow is twin day and our virtual Pillar of Care assembly. - Spring picture day is on Monday. Spring Picture Day is coming Monday, May 31. Lifetouch donates $2 to the school for every photo taken on this day. After Picture Day, you may choose to order pictures on mylifetouch.ca using your Portrait ID and Access Code which can be found on your Picture Day order form (this will come home about a week after picture day). - Please sign the Human Sexuality waiver and send back to school before Monday. We will be starting the unit then. - Tomorrow is our last day to work on our news articles. If they are not completed students will need to complete them at home over the weekend. Tuesday, May 25th, 2021 Messages and Reminders: - Please hand in the human sexuality forms by Friday - we will be starting the unit on Monday. New forms will be sent home tomorrow for students that need them. If you already returned/emailed me with permission you do not need to do it again. - Ancient Athens test on Thursday for those students who missed it before we went online. The re-test for students wishing to take it again will also be on Thursday. - Ancient Athens brochures are due by Friday for those who missed before the break. - News Article good copy due by Friday. - Pillars of Care virtual assembly is Friday morning.
