- Remember to track reading at home for the Reading.. Give it a Shot Program

- Jump Rope for Heart Fundraiser is still on until the end of February

- February 23 we have a visit from Constable Kevin, the new police officer assigned to our school

- February 24 is Pink Shirt Day - wear pink if you can to raise awareness for anti-bullying

- February 26 is Funky Sock Day - please remember that we still need to wear shoes

Daily Recap:

We continued to talk about kindness and anti-bullying. Last week we decided we would participate in a week of random acts of kindness to really highlight our Pillar of Care this month and emphasize Pink Shirt Day. This is what we are working on this week: 

Monday, Feb 22 - Give three people a compliment

Tuesday, Feb 23 - Hold the door for someone / play with someone at recess that you don’t normally play with

Wednesday, Feb 24 - Don’t be a bystander - stand up to bullies / Think before we speak - be a good friend and peer

Thursday, Feb 25 - Clean up something that is not yours / Offer your help

Friday, Feb 26 - Wave at someone and say hello / Ask someone how their day or week is going

Besides our focus on kindness, we will continue to talk about our new units in science and social - Air & Aerodynamics and Ancient Athens. We will continue work on integers this week in math and story writing in LA.

We are looking forward to a full week of school this week.
